Parents spent many hours shopping in order to bring smiles to their children's faces and make corporate executives receive their Christmas bonus from stockholders. We have to love the commercial appeal of Christmas day. But what about the other stuff, you know, that it is the day that Christians celebrate the birth of Christ. What does this mean for the modern economic goals of Christmas day?
Our celebration of Christmas is today's modern controversy. My solution is that parents spend more time with their children sharing the meaning of Christ's birth. It is about salvation of man, creating a level playing field among those separated by man created differences. Engage in a day of community service, bringing families into the mission of salvation and redemption.
God bless you until we meet again
